Guide Summary and Photographs

Although it was a bit overcast we had an amazing day out at sea.

Just after launching our vessel Dream Catcher we headed towards Uilenkraalsmond and cruising along the coast towards Pearly Beach were we found some Southern Right whales. On our morning trip we encountered a single adult playing with some kelp close to our vessel. On the second trip we spotted some more whales closer to shore. As we approached slowly we saw it was a cow-calf pair. They’ve been very relaxed around us and it’s always great to see these little ones with their moms.

On the first trip we were lucky and got to see a shark, by our sister company Marine Dynamics. On both trips we passed the Cape Fur seal colony on geyser Rock and had a closer look at Dyer Island.
