Due to springtide we launched our vessel “Whale Whisperer” from the Gansbaai harbour, which allowed us to cruise around Danger Point. On our first trip we were heading to Pearly Beach were we found a curious Southern Right whale who had a closer look at us. The whale was approaching the boat quite close. On the last two trips for the day we got to see Southern Right Whales behind Dyer Island. It was just a group of three whales. While busy watching these whales of a sudden a shy albatross flew by, such an impressive bird. On the way back to the harbour we passed the shark cage diving vessels and the Cape fur seals on Geyser Rock, a lot of them were playing in the water today. Throughout the the trips we also got to see some of the endagered African penguins. What amazing wildlife will be out at sea tomorrow…
