Guide Summary and Photographs
Our day started partly cloudy with turquoise water all over the bay.
We slowly cruised along the stunning coastline, passed Uilenkraalsmond towards ‘the shallows’ where we made a quick stop at the shark cage diving boats. On our way we spotted a sunfish, always great to see them every now and then.
On all three of our whale watching trips of the day our sightings occurred in the Pearly Beach area. We encountered a couple of cow calf pairs just past a reef system and some further into the bay. The mothers and their calves were slowly traveling westwards alongside our vessel. On the last trip we came across another travelling pair, but this little whale was a little more active and entertaining us well while its mother was watching close by.
Before heading into the harbour we stopped at the Cape Fur seal colony in Shark Alley.
