Guide Summary and Photographs
Another successful day out in the bay with Southern Right and Humpback whale sightings…
On the first trip we encountered Humpback whales and they gave us a great show. All the Humpback whales we encountered were relaxed around our vessel, ‘Whale Whisperer’. On the morning trip we also watched a group of penguins leaving Dyer Island to go fishing, hope they all home safely by the end of the day.
Most of the Cape Fur seals were having a rest on their three hectare island, ’Geyser Rock’. Only later on during the day they became more active and started playing in the water. We only spotted two Southern Right whale close to Danger Point during our third trip.
On each of our trips we also stopped by the shark cage diving vessels, to see some Great White sharks, which can be found all year round in this area.
