Today we had only one trip, but it was a really nice one. The trip did start with a visit at Slashfin, the shark cage diving vessel from our sister company Marine Dynamics. After seeing a Great White shark we were heading towards Pearly Beach, to find some Southern Right whales. Arrived in the whale watching area we spotted some relaxed Southern Right whales close to a small kelp forest. During the trip we sighted five mother and calf pairs in the Pearly Beach area. The last pair we saw was quite special as the calf was brindle, and only four per cent of the new born calves are white. On the way back home we stopped in Shark Alley to see the seals on Geyser Rock. We also spotted the African penguin on Dyer Island. What a lucky day with a brindle calf and four out of the marine big five.
