Guide Summary and Photographs
We were surrounded by Bryde’s whales. After leaving the harbour we were heading along the coast to ‘Slashfin’ and got to see some shark activity. On our way to Dyer Island we stopped to have a look at two African penguins in the water. Arrived at Dyer Island we spotted some more penguins hiding between all the Cape cormorants.
After we passed the Cape Fur seal colony we decided to head behind the island into deeper water to see what we can find and we have been spoiled with some Bryde’s whales. Out in deeper water was a lot of marine life to see, diving birds, seal and lunch feeding Bryde’s whales. We also encounters a mother and her calf, really special to see.
