Guide Summary and Photographs

It has been another perfect day at sea. Due to springtide we had to launch once again from the Gansbaai harbour, but we definitely didn’t regret this decision. Around Danger Point towards our whale watching are we spotted three Humpback whale traveling together. They were super a relaxed having us around so our boat was traveling alongside them. After a while they joined two other Humpback whale a bit further off the coast. After a great time with these gentle giants we moved off slowly passing the Birkenhead rock and then towards Dyer Island.

On our way we had a glimpse of a Southern Right whale, but it has been a bit shy so we continued our tour. As every day we pass the Cape Fur seal colony on Geyser Rock and make a stop at Dyer Island itself. However, we were already on the way towards the shark cage diving boats when we came across another two Southern Right whales, luckily a bit more friendly this time.

After a great time at sea we were heading back towards Kleinbaai harbour for some nice warm soup and home baked bread.
