Guide Summary and Photographs

After launching from the harbour, we found a mating group at our whale watching destination Pearly Beach. During this trip we did get to see two humpback whales around our vessel too. On our second trip we came across the same Group of Southern Right Whales. While busy watching them, suddenly one started to breach. The whale was breaching several times in a row and another one started as well a bit further off. We often see whales breaching before a storm is coming, they might have felt it as well that we are not going out at sea in the next day due to bad weather. On our last trip for the day we had a whale breaching in the distance and a mating close to our vessel. During the day we spotted plenty of birds around Whale Whisperer and thousands of seals on Geyser Rock. Looking forward to some more days out at sea.
