Guide Summary and Photographs

Marine Big 5 today! We have been super lucky to spot all of the Marine Big 5, which includes dolphins, sharks, seals, penguins and whales.

Our exciting journey started off with some Indian Ocean Humpback dolphins close to the coast. We spent quite some time with them before heading towards the shark cage diving vessels. There we haven’t been lucky to see a shark, but on the way to Dyer Island we came across a free swimming great white.

Upon arrival at Dyer Island we saw the African penguins between all the Cape cormorants and some more seabird species. Afterwards we headed to Geyser Rock to see the Cape Fur seals.

As it was such a lovely day at sea, the skipper decided to go into deeper water behind the islands to see what else we can find and we were lucky to spot three Bryde’s whales, a cow-calf pair and a single adult.
