Guide Summary and Photographs
Another stunning day out at sea. It was overcast as we launched from the Kleinbaai harbour but the sun was shining soon. As usual we were cruising towards Uilenkraalsmond in the hope to find the Indian Ocean humpback dolphins. Just passed the river mouth there we were welcomed by some individuals of our residential pod. We did spot ‘Captain Hook’ with her calf ‘bigZ’. The dolphins were quite playful today, as soon as we picked up on a little speed they started to bow ride our vessel Dream Catcher. After observing the dolphins for a while we continued our journey towards Dyer Island, where we had a look at the African penguins. Our next stop was in famous water, Shark Alley, where we got to see some of our Cape Fur seals on Geyser Rock. Just on the way out of the Alley we spotted two more African penguins, two adults. On our cruise back, we stopped at our sister company, to see a Great white shark. We just had to wait a few moments and we managed to see a juvenile shark coming out of the water. After such an amazing trip with four out of the Marine Big5 we were heading back.
