Guide Summary and Photographs
It was a lovely day to be out on the water once again.
The first sighting for the day was a sunfish. It was just swimming alongside the vessel close to the surface so we could have a look at that strange looking creature. Soon after leaving it behind, we spotted Indian Ocean humpback dolphins. We have been spotting this group of dolphins quite often recently. After seeing them playing around close to the beach, we were heading to Pearly Beach to find some whales.
We spotted a few relaxed Southern Right whales at the surface. While laying in the whale watching area with our vessel thousands of Cape cormorants came flying passed us. On our way to the Cape Fur seal colony we came across a group of African penguins, so we stopped and had a look at them. A lot of the seals were playing in the water today, and enjoying the sun.
