31 August 2016 | Whale Watching Gansbaai

Guide Summary and Photographs

We had an early trip this morning as later one the north-westerly wind was about to pick up. On our way to Pearly Beach we passed our sister company ‘Marine Dynamics’ to see some Great White sharks. After spending a few minutes there we got to see some hear activity of a big Great White shark. Not even arrived in Pearly Beach we spotted a whale at the reef system ‘DeClyde’. As the whale came up again to take a breath we see it was a mother with her calf. All of us for very excited as it’s the first cow-calf pair we spotted this season. After spending some time watching th we were heading off towards Dyer Island to pass the Cape Fur seal colony on Geyser Rock. After good sightings we were heading back to the Kleinbaai harbour and back to the Great White hour where we enjoyed some nice warm soup.
