Guide Summary and Photographs
The day did start with sunshine all over the area. On our way to Pearly Beach we spotted our first whales a few minutes after leaving the harbour. Back on our way to Pearly Beach we spotted two Indo-Pacific Humpback dolphins while passing a reef system. In the Pearly Beach area we did see whales everywhere around our boat the Whale Whisperer. Some whales were busy mating, and some others were just relaxing around the boat. We also spotted three different brindle Southern Right Whales, how lucky! Towards the end of the day the wind speed picked up and the whales started to get really active. They showed us their beautiful flukes and started breaching all over the bay. We also stopped at marine Dynamics our sister company to see a Great White shark. On Geyser Rock we saw the Cape Fur Seals and on Dyer Island we saw African penguins sitting on rocks. Some more penguins were busy finding a way into the water. It was a fantastic day, with all marine big five.
