Guide Summary and Photographs

We had amazing whale behaviour today. Just launched from the harbour we spotted our first Southern Right whales. We were surrounded by two mothers with their calves. They were swimming close to a kelp forest just off the shore, but all the whales we saw were super relaxed today. One mother and her calf were opening their mouth so we could clearly see all the baleen plates hanging down from the upper jaw. Today we also had a White breasted cormorant close to our vessel, and a few African penguins on Dyer Island. We also had lots of Cape Fur sals in Shark Alley and on Geyser Rock. Such a beautiful day.
