Guide Summary and Photographs
Just another unbelievably great day on board the Whale Whisperer.
During our first trip we saw two different species of baleen whales. Around Uilenkraalsmond we spotted three Southern Right whales, a mother with her calf and a sub-adult playing in the swell. After visiting the Cape Fur seals on Geyser Rock and the African penguins on Dyer Island we managed to spot a Bryde’s whale. These whales are generally shy.
On our second trip for the day we saw three mothers with their calves relaxing close to Dyer Island. On our way to our sister company Marine Dynamics we saw lots of splashes in the distance and got really excited as we instantly knew it must be some dolphins! As they moved closer we, we were able to identify them. The pod of Common dolphins were bow riding and jumping around our vessel, what an unforgettable day!
