Guide Summary and Photographs
Today we could already feel the storm, which is forecasted for the weekend. We had some westerly wind throuout the whole day. In all our trips we were heading towards Danger Point and made out way to the island.
In the first trip we spotted lots of different seabirds, African penguins, teens, shearwater, a Giant Petrel and a albatross. As we changed direction to head towards the island we spotted a Bryde’s whale and amazing Common dolphins flying out of the swell. The dolphins were bow riding and definitly were the highlight of the tour.
In our second trip we also spotted some Bryde’s whale and various seabird species.
The last trip for the day launched in the afternoon and we have been lucky to see some more whales after a long search.
On all our trips we did pass the Cape Fur real colony and Dyer Island.
