Guide Summary and Photographs
We ran two very successful whale watching tours today in nice calm seas.
On both trips we saw two mom and calf Southern Right whale pairs in the Pearly Beach area. We got really nice looks at the whales as they slowly milled around, sometimes lifting their head out a little and one time the tail. Although there are not many Southern Rights here at the moment we are very happy to still be seeing them on some tours. Not only did we see the whales on both trips but we also got to see Bottlenose dolphins on both trips also. These occasional visitors to our area are some of the more playful dolphins and we got to see a couple of leaps while we were watching them.
As ever the Cape fur seals on Geyser Rock entertained us with their antics and we also got to see a Great White shark on both tours today. A very good day to be out on the water!
