A Rare Sighthing

Guide Summary and Photographs

On the 4th and 5th of September, clients on the Whale Whisperer were treated to a very rare sighting of a Cape Fur seal preying on a Blue stingray. This is not at all a regular sight to see and to be able to have caught it on camera made it even more special.

The Blue stingray is found along the entire South African coastline and can be identified by their yellowish color and a blue pattern of interlacing lines.
