Marine Big 5 Daily Blog 16 November

Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.

Trip Summary 16 November 2023:

What a day! Beautiful sightings and perfect weather conditions. Heading out of Kleinbaai Harbour along the coastal areas we again encountered some amazing sightings. The Southern Right whales did not let us wait and we could start the trips with some very exciting encounters. Some very interested Southern Right whales came our way and investigated around us. The very active Bronze whaler sharks did not disappoint and even appeared right next to our boat while visiting the Shark cage diving vessels on most of our trips. Arriving at Geyser Rock we could not take our eyes off the Cape fur seals sneaking around the boat and living life on the island. A stop at our African Penguin colony on Dyer Island could of course not be missed and we got some nice views of them relaxing on the island. After all these amazing sightings it was time to call it a day and head back to Kleinbaai Harbour.
