Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 23 July 2022:
We had the most perfect trip today with some awe-inspiring action from a Humpback Whale. This whale thrilled everyone on board today with impressive lobtailing and fluking which we witnessed countless times! As hard as it was to move on from this whale, we still had much of our area to explore. Over in Shark Alley, we shared the company of our 60,000-strong Cape Fur seal colony on Geyser Rock and spotted numerous African Penguins on Dyer Island. By our shark cage diving vessel, Slashfin, we saw some fantastic Bronze Whaler activity with many sharks around the boat! We also enjoyed many spectacular seabirds today with some incredibly special sightings of Shy Albatross around the boat!
