Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 25 October 2022:
Today we had another great day with the southern right whales and all the other marine life we did encounter during the three tours. Some of the southern right whales we saw were in shallow water close to the coast, slowly moving alongside the vessel. Further out we spotted another pair coming up for regular breaths at the surface. After watching these gentle giants, we moved on to see some bronze whaler sharks at the shark cage diving boats. Our next stop was in Shark Alley and once again plenty of Cape fur seals were having a swim in the world-famous waters. Before returning to the harbour in Kleinbaai we stopped closer to Dyer Island and saw a few penguins on the rocks.
