Guide Summary and Photographs

We saw a total of 9 Southern Right whales today!  It was a gorgeous warm day, and the whales were mimicking the calmness of the sea by taking advantage of relaxing at the surface and playing with the kelp. The clients couldn’t decide where to point their cameras as we had 6 different whales around us at one time in the Pearly beach area this morning.  The swells were low enough for us to get up close to Dyer Island to view the African penguins and take a spin round the Cape Fur seals before heading through the ‘washing machine’ on our way back to harbour.  What a great way to spend a warm winter’s day…
