Guide Summary and Photographs
Just as we arrived in the shallows on our first trip this morning we were greeted by a small pod of 6-7 Humpback dolphins, a fantastic way to start off the day! Only 100m up from the dolphins was the mother-calf Southern Right pair that we’ve been spotting over the last few days, and we could clearly see today that the calf has some lovely white speckles on it. While in the Pearly beach area during our second trip we were surrounded by at least 6 Southern Right whales who were having a great time playing in the swells and slapping the water with their pectoral flippers. There was even one whale who kept poking it’s eye out to have a look at us! We finished the trip off with African penguins swimming back to Dyer Island, Cape Fur seals relaxing on Geyser rock and Great White sharks half-breaching at Slashfin. Wonder what tomorrow will bring…
