Guide Summary and Photographs
This morning proved to be a beautiful start to the day with the sun shining and calm seas, unfortunately the wind and swell picked up over the course of the afternoon. However, this change in conditions did not hinder whale sightings! We headed in the direction of Pearly Beach which is where we spotted our first mother calf pair of the day. This particular calf made a show of diving and resurfacing with kelp on its head and back, allowing the “little” one to give itself a good scratch! Later on we were treated to a series of breaches by a different mother calf pair. A great day on the water, hopefully tomorrow will prove just as good… – Kelly Baker (Marine Volunteer)
