Guide Summary and Photographs
We began our trip today by visiting our sister company, Marine Dynamics, to catch some of the awesome Great White shark activity they had going on. Then it was time to search for some whales! It didn’t take very long; as soon as we arrived at the Pearly beach area Kira spotted some Southern Right whales directly ahead of us. Low and behold there was actually three whales together and within a few minutes a fourth came to join them! They were being very friendly and relaxed, looking like large hippos resting at the surface. As we visited Geyser rock today we witnessed the sad sight of a Cape Fur seal who has a discarded net entangled around its neck. This serves as a harsh reminder of why rubbish and waste NEEDS to be properly disposed of on land and not carelessly thrown overboard while out at sea…
