The large swells may not have been favourable for us, but the Southern Right whales were loving them, breaching out the water continuously left, right and centre! Most of the activity came from one mother whale but even her little calf joined in the fun, giving us one nice breach. The mother seemed to be enjoying the attention, because each time we began to set off in search of more whales, she would go down and breach again as if she were calling us back! The sun was shining and the whales were jumping, what more could you ask for…
