Guide Summary and Photographs
It certainly felt like a spring today, the sun was shining bright and it was warmer than it has been in a while! The wild life was loving the weather as well, from half breaches at the shark boats to fluking from the whales, we had fantastic sightings! We were also privileged enough to have the National Geographic Committee for Research and Exploration on a whale trip this morning. It was 28 leading professionals in their fields of research, and the whole crew on board were excited to host them and pick their brains. Visit our multiple social media forums for more information; Dyer Island Conservation Trust (DICT), Marine Dynamics (MD) and our facebook pages. On top of the Southern Right whales fluking, we were fortunate enough to find two Humpback whales, on route to Gansbaai harbour, who very relaxed playing with some kelp. We couldn’t have asked for a better show from the wild life…
