What a perfect day!
The sun was shining all day long and just a light breeze was blowing over the bay. We have had three whale watching trips today and have been very successful on all of them. On the first trip we spotted two different species of baleen whales, first a Bryde’s whale and on the way to Dyer Island we came across a Humpback whale cow calf pair. The calf was still very small so we decided to move on as we don’t want to stress them.
On our second and third trip we were just as lucky with the whale sightings. On both trips we encountered Southern Right whales, they were all very relaxed and traveling alongside the vessel.
During the trips we also visited our Cape Fur seal colony on Geyser Rock and stopped by the shark cage diving vessels to have a look at the Great White sharks.
