Guide Summary and Photographs
We had a great show from the mother-calf pairs in the bay today, the weather was calm and warm and so were the whales! We saw a total of four mother-calf pairs over both trips and found them all only a few minutes outside the harbour, as if they’d been waiting for us! One of the calves was very large, likely born right at the beginning of the whale season, and now entering his “teenage phase” as Kira, our Wildlife spotter, likes to call it. We also saw “Spotty” today, it’s always nice to see he’s still in the area. To finish off the trip, just as the wind picked up, one little calf gave us a few nice breaches. It was a great day on the water…
