Guide Summary and Photographs
As predicted, the seas were choppy after 2 days of tremendous wind, but the ride out to Pearly Beach was worth it! Just as the sun came out, we spotted a brindle calf playing with mum as well as two other Southern Right whale mother-calf pairs. We waited patiently as they swam so close you could practically reach out and touch them. It doesn’t get much better than that, so we headed to Slashfin, Marine Dynamic’s shark cage diving boat, and arrived just in time to see two large Great White sharks surface and then swim right under our boat. Today’s trip was one that won’t soon be forgotten… – Laura Stukus (Marine Volunteer)
