Guide Summary and Photographs
The morning started out beautifully flat and warm but the wind soon picked up for the afternoon, this didn’t discourage our whale sightings however! We had lots of Southern Right whales, with a total of six different mother calf pairs throughout the course of the day and one single male. It was the same male from yesterday’s trips who had been breaching with his mouth open, and sure enough he gave us three nice breaches again today, he’s becoming a right little show off! It wasn’t just the Cape Fur seals at Geyser rock diving under the boat today; we had one VERY curious little calf that came right up to the side of the boat to check out the people action going on, before diving underneath the boat with mum in tow. A great show from the whales…
