Guide Summary and Photographs
We couldn’t have asked for a better day, the weather was beautiful and the sea was calm, there’s no better conditions for whale watching! We spotted a variety of wildlife throughout our four trips, successfully completing the Marine Big 5 experience. We had fantastic Southern Right whale sightings, with a full array of behaviour from the mother calf pairs, breaching, rolling, tail slapping, you name it! We also got to see one mother’s beautiful white belly as she rested on her back. We were even fortunate enough to find a large pod of Bottlenose dolphins passing through the bay with lots of little babies in tow. Sighting the African penguins on Dyer Island and spotting a feeding Cape Fur seal was the perfect addition to our awesome trips… – Yvonne Nuessing (Marine Volunteer)
