Guide Summary and Photographs

Today we truly experienced a South African winter day on Whale Whisperer. Leaving the harbour we headed for the shallows where we spotted a Southern Right whale. It gave us a brief sighting before doing a deep dive. The Southern Right whales preferred the deeper waters today where it was calmer in comparison to the choppy surface activity. We made our way to Dyer Island where we came across great white sharks interacting with our sister company Marine Dynamics. Both individuals were under the 3m mark which indicated that they were juveniles. Yet another interesting day out on the Whale Whisperer… – Rosie Bowyer (Marine Volunteer)1-DSC_1237
