Guide Summary and Photographs
Beautiful weather and beautiful whales.
Today we were headed towards Pearly Beach where we found some Southern Right whales. On all three trips we encountered mating groups on that side of our whale watching area. We saw them rolling around, swimming in the swell, spy hopping and one was opening its mouth. We usually don’t get to see that that often in this area as they don’t feed here. So it was most likely to just flush its baleen.
We also passed our resident Cape Fur seal colony on Geyser Rock and had a glimpse of a Great White shark around ‘Slashfin’ our sister company’s shark cage diving boat.
Today was a perfect for whale watching, it looks like more and more Southern Right whales moving into our bay.
