Guide Summary and Photographs
We had sunshine again the whole day and only later on the wind picked up. The crew of Whale Whisperer had an early start in their office, the sea was flat like a mirror and absolutely beautiful. On the first trip we were heading along the coast towards Pearly Beach where we found three Southern Right whales. On the second trip we spotted a subadult whale close to Sandy Point just before heading towards Geyser Rock to see some Cape Fur seals. On the third and fourth trip we couldn’t find any Southern Right whales in the bay so we decided to head out into deeper water to have a look for Humpback whales. And, yes we found some! First we spotted two, they were relaxed traveling alongside the vessel. One of the Humpback whales surprised us with lobtailing, amazing to see that power. On three of the four trips we also managed to see a Great White shark close to the shark cage diving vessels in the bay.
