Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa – Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 11 July 2025:
We had a sunny day and a fair amount of swell rolling into the bay, but this didn’t stop us from heading out to sea. After a stop to see the Bronze Whaler sharks at the cage diving boats, we moved on to Dyer Island and Geyser Rock, where we watched the Cape fur seals. Out in the deep, we found a humpback whale, and one group even managed to spot a sunfish.
