Marine Big 5 Daily Blog 30 April

Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa – Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.

Trip Summary 30 April 2025:

Today we had some swell rolling into our bay and the coastal waters have been rather quiet. Further out at Dyer Island, we saw the critically endangered African Penguin and not far from there, we watched thousands of Cape fur seals in Shark Alley and Geyser Rock. Behind the island, we saw a spout of a whale but were unfortunately not able to see it again. We continued our way to Danger Point and were lucky to find a small group of common dolphins.
