A wild day on sea! Marine Big 5 daily blog
Written by March 9 2020

A wild day out on sea for the Dyer Island Cruises team and guests with some interesting sightings. Dream Catcher first headed for the Shallows moving along the coastline we searched for wildlife in particular any dolphins but with no luck with cruised by our sister company, Marine Dynamics, to have a look at the shark cage diving activity. On to the island system we enjoyed some time observing the Cape Fur seal colony on Geyser Rock and the fantastic bird life including Giant Petrels and Cape Gannets. Moving through deeper waters we then had an exciting encounter, a Bryde’s whale, gracefully moving along at the surface we were able to enjoy some time with this animal before it dove deep. A fantastic way to finish of the trip!
What species did we see today?
