Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 23 September 2026:
It was another beautiful day out on the water with some incredible marine life sightings. We encountered multiple pairs of southern right whales, with some trips lucky enough to witness calves breaching alongside their mothers. The Cape fur seals and African penguins were also seen during the day, with a float of African penguins spotted out in the water. The sharks remained quiet again today, but there was still plenty to enjoy out on the water as we made the most of our time at sea.
