Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 03 October 2024:
Another day full of active marine wildlife. Greeting all guests aboard Dream Catcher we left Kleinbaai Harbour behind us and headed further into the bay where a few Southern Right whales met us. Some were rather relaxed whereas others were active and even breached a few times. Around the Shark cage diving boats we got a few glimpses of our beloved Bronze whaler sharks. Cape fur seals were of course waiting in Shark Alley and Geyser Rock. The swell was unfortunately still a bit too high for us to head closer to Dyer Island.
