Shortly after leaving the harbour this morning, we spotted a female southern right whale and her calf close to the coastline. After spending some time watching them, we continued heading through the bay to see some bronze whaler sharks at the shark cage diving boat. Arrived in the Pearly Beach area we spotted a couple of spouts and soon were surrounded by four females and their young. Our last stop was in Shark Alley to watch the Cape fur seal.
What species did we see today?

With a local population of 60,000, it's no wonder our guests capture so many photographs of these wonderfully playful marine mammals.

The Bronze whaler (also known as Copper sharks) here in Kleinbaai are very curious and interactive. These sharks eat mostly fish, with sardines being one of their favourites.
