We are about to head towards the end of whale season here in South Africa, but we are lucky and still see whales on every tour. Todays Southern Right whale sightings were just passed a reef system on our way towards Pearly Bach. The female and her calf were very relaxed around our vessel and stayed alongside us for the whole time. The calf was also still very small so we are hoping they will stay around this area for longer. The Cape Fur seal on Geyser Rock were funny to watch just like always, playing with each other in the water or just laying lazy on land. Before making our way to Kleinbaai we approached Dyer Island to see the endangered African penguins as well as the other bird species that inhabit the island.
What species did we see today?
