Humpback Whale Breach! Marine Big 5 Daily Blog 21 June
Written by June 21 2022
Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 21 June 2022:
A beautiful day out with a bit of wind out at sea and four out of the marine big 5 spotted! Our trip started out heading along the coastal waters towards the shark cage vessels where we caught a brief glimpse of the iconic Great White Shark as well as the Short Tail Stingray. Not long after searching the deeper waters for some whale spouts, we came across 3 beautiful humpback whales that gave us a spectacular show including one that gave us an amazing breach before we headed into Shark Alley. The Cape Fur Seals were entertaining us around the boat with their acrobatics while the African Penguins on Dyer Island waddled about and sat near their nests on top of the island. An amazing day to have been out on the ocean.
