Humpback whales! Marine Big 5 Daily Blog
Written by June 14 2021
On today’s tour we had a light breeze blowing that just slightly picked up throughout the tour. Along the coast we spotted four ostriches having some beach time. Shortly after we reached the shark cage diving boat and witnessed some great shark activity. At Dyer Island there were a few penguins posing on the rocks and couple of cormorants as well. And after having see the playful Cape Fur seals we ventured into the deeper water off the bay and were lucky to spot three humpback whales traveling alongside towards Quin Point. They came up regularly so we could get some great looks and photographs and were showing off in between with slapping their extremely long flippers. What a great trip!
What species did we see today?
