Marine Big 5 Daily Blog 04 November

Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.

Trip Summary 04 November 2023:

As usual, we headed out of Kleinbaai Harbour and made our way into the more shallow areas along the coastline for a lookout for some Southern Right whales. All our trips were successful and had some amazing close-ups with several pairs. Most of our trips were able to stop by Shark cage diving vessels in the Shallows to encounter some beautiful Bronze Whaler sharks. Of course, we have had another stop ahead of us, the Island system. Our first stop there was Geyser Rock where we were welcomed by the Cape fur seal colony. Before moving back to the harbour we paid the endangered African Penguins a visit at Dyer Island.
