Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa – Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 11 June 2025:
We were excited for another beautiful day on flat seas with similar conditions to yesterday! Once we left Kleinbaai Harbour behind us, we started looking for marine wildlife. Pretty much a guarantee for today: the ever-so-lively Cape fur seals! The huge amount of seals left our guests in awe! A closer look at our critically endangered African Penguins soaking in some sun on Dyer Island wrapped up the island system. Another usual stop around the Marine Dynamics Shark cage diving vessel, Slashfin, offered several looks at the incredible Bronze whaler shark, also known as the copper shark. Along the coast and off Danger Point, we couldn’t believe our eyes when we spotted more southern right whales and a humpback whale. What a great day to be at sea!
