Marine Big 5 Daily Blog 11 October

Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.

Trip Summary 11 October 2024:

What a beautiful day out at sea both guests and crew had! Leaving Kleinbaai Harbour behind us we did not have to wait long before we spotted some very active Southern Right whales! Several close approaches were made and we could even see the baleen plates as a whale came closer to show them off. What a special encounter! After spending quite a bit of time with the whales we moved on to find some Bronze whaler sharks around the local Shark cage diving boats. Around the island system, we were met by Cape fur seals on Geyser Rock and endangered African Penguins on Dyer Island. What a successful day out at sea. Once again, thanks for joining our Marine Big 5 trips!
