Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 12 October 2023:
We had a windy day with some rain out in the bay but the sightings were great! We spotted several southern right whales in the bay and also in Pearly Beach, some were breaching in the distance while others were just swimming relaxed alongside the vessel. Another highlight of the tours was to see the thousands of Cape fur seals on Geyser Rock and to approach Dyer Island to see the endangered African Penguin. We also cruised through the shallows and were lucky to see the Bronze whaler shark at the shark cage diving boats.
