Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa – Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 13 June 2025:
Today was a beautiful sunny day with amazing sightings. we started off our journey by heading into deeper waters on the lookout for any whales. we stopped by the Birkenhead rock to tell the historical tale as we continued in deeper waters we managed to spot a Bryde’s whale arching its back above the surface after observing the whale for a while we went on our in search for more marine life and we were so lucky to spot another Bryde’s whale and the acrobatic whale of the ocean the Humpback whale. We observed it majestically moving its fluke and gliding in the water; it left us all in awe. We then headed to Geyser Rock and Dyer Island to visit the Cape fur seals and African penguins on our way back to Kleinbaai Harbour. we stopped by our shark diving vessel, where we managed to see a few bronze whaler sharks showing off their bronze colouring. The day ended just as great as it started, we had some incredible humpback whale behaviour just behind the islands.
