Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 15 August 2023:
Dreamcatcher launched early this morning, enjoying some fantastic sightings of the Southern Right whales throughout the day. The mid-morning trip encountered whales quickly and was seen to be exhibiting some exciting surface behaviour. The afternoon trip had a wet and wild journey through the bay involving a stunning sighting of a Southern Right whale pair, happily moving through the bay. All of our trips today enjoyed spending some time around the Islands, including the Cape fur seal colony of Geyser Rock and the African penguin and seabird colony of Dyer Island.
